St. Thomas Church Dahmsdorf

Churches
The fieldstone building from the 13th and 14th centuries is one of the oldest places of worship in Brandenburg and was badly damaged in the Thirty Years' War. The church was not rebuilt until decades after the end of the war. In the process, the original tower was demolished and the building was given the half-timbered roof turret that still exists today. The year 1719 probably refers to these repairs.
Inside the church, the medieval origins are still clearly visible: light falls through the three narrow lancet windows into the roughly plastered and simply designed interior. The floor is made of red bricks.
Registration and keys for the tour are available at the Landgasthaus am Dolgensee, Dorfstr. 9, Tel. 033679-75807
