Strausberg City Museum

Museums
The city museum provides information about the history of the city of Strausberg from its beginnings to the present day. In the course of its history (founded in 1908), a representative collection of material evidence and documents on the culture and lifestyle of the city's population has been assembled. The exhibition is presented in a building constructed in 1861, which was renovated and rebuilt between 1996 and 1999. The permanent exhibition is currently being re-initiated.

The museum library is located on the upper floor and houses Strausberg newspapers and magazines, local calendars and local history literature, but also has works on regional history for reference. Readers with special literature requests are asked to register.
Guided tours, events and lectures complement the offer. In 2021, there will be an elevator in the building to ensure accessibility.
