The Seelow City Park is located in the southeastern part of the city and increases the quality of life for both city residents and visitors. Serving as a link between the city and nature, you can examine many different trees and plants on an area of 8,7 hectares, take long walks and look far into the Oderland from numerous vantage points. Information boards offer specific information for those interested. If you walk through the park, you will come to Seelow's probably most famous attraction - the Seelow Heights Memorial. Hikers can find a direct connection to the European hiking trail from the park and start their journey. The structure of the park is characterized by former arable land and fallow land, which are being converted into dry grassland in the long term and permanently. A special charm of the landscape lies in the alternation of the open and spacious hilltops with the small-scale mosaic of sunken paths, willow groves, V-shaped valleys and fragments of former orchards. It is no secret that spring is a particularly exciting time of year for every nature lover. And yet it is especially worth visiting the city park again after the long, cold, grey winter months. Many fruit trees transform the landscape into a fragrant natural paradise.
