The August Bier Foundation's horse-riding station is located in the middle of the Sauen Forest, near Beeskow, and offers a very special kind of forest image: 460 botanical rarities were planted here in 1912 by the world-famous surgeon, philosopher and forest doctor August Bier to "heal the forest". The district forester accompanies you on a live mounted excursion (with headset) through the forest and shows how an overused pine heath became a fairytale forest. But you can also explore the forest on your own. Search for a treasure here with geocaching devices or borrow an audio guide so that non-riding family members can also explore the area.
You and your horse can find overnight accommodation at the Rüsterhof in Görzig, about 4 km away.
