Stork tower Rathsdorf/Altgaul

The Stork tower Rathsdorf/Altgaul is a unique monument to the brick industry, around 150 years old. It is the last of the once widespread "Märkische Ziegelbrennofen" brick kilns. A pair of storks has nested on the top since time immemorial. With the help of the Michael Otto Foundation, the NABU renovated the stork tower in the early 90s and set up a museum for the white stork inside the monument.
