In Eisenhüttenstadt you can experience two worlds in one city: on the one hand the socialist model city, which was declared a listed building just 40 years after construction began, and on the other hand the historic Fürstenberg (1255) with its narrow streets, the old fishing district and the Gothic parish church from the 14th century. Eisenhüttenstadt is the largest contiguous area monument in Germany and worth a visit.
