The Eisenhüttenstadt Aviation Club offers guest flights at the Eisenhüttenstadt-Frankfurt airfield. Visitors can drop by spontaneously on weekends during opening hours and, depending on the weather, take part in a lap around the airfield (around five to ten minutes) in a glider. Longer glider flights must be arranged in advance.
The gliding season begins every year, depending on the weather, shortly before Easter and lasts until the end of October. There is also the option of taking a sightseeing flight in a motorized airplane. This has space for the pilot and a guest and also takes off in the cold season. Dates must be arranged in advance.
Vouchers for sightseeing flights can also be purchased at the airfield. There is a small bistro on site.
