bird watching tower at the Groß Schauener lake chain

Bird watching
The Groß Schauener Seenkette nature reserve, located around 50 kilometers southeast of Berlin, is a popular attraction for nature lovers. Cranes, northern geese, cormorants, ospreys and sea eagles can be observed from a 12-meter-high observation tower on the Grosser Wochowsee. With a little luck, you can hear the call of the bittern in spring. The extensive network of waterways is also an ideal habitat for the otter.

Directions:
On the A10 to the Spreeau motorway junction, then on the A12 towards Frankfurt (Oder) to the Storkow exit. Continue on the B246 via Storkow to Groß Schauen. From the Köllnitz nature estate on the B246 near Groß Schauen, it is a further 2 kilometres on foot along the approximately 3 kilometre long nature trail.
