Werlsee is located in Grünheide and is connected to Peetzsee. There's an island on the lake, Lindwall Island, also colloquially known as the "Love Island." The northern beach at Werlsee is wide, offering plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxing. The sand is very fine, and those needing a break from the sun will find plenty of shady spots under trees along the edge. This beach offers more than just sand and water.
Here you'll also find the climbing forest, a beach bar, and a giant swing, providing the perfect photo spot with views of the lake and the Fangschleuse. Shade lovers will especially enjoy the southern shore of Lake Werlsee. The sandy beach is surrounded on both sides by a spruce forest, providing ample shade at any time of day. Of course, there's also plenty of space for sunbathing for all sun worshippers.
