The Ziltendorfer lowlands offer a barrier-free nature experience for everyone. In a seemingly endless plain, crossed by small streams and ditches, along the numerous meadows and fields. Several communities in the Brieskow-Finkenheerd district and the Oder frame the extensive natural area, which is only broken up by individual houses and small settlements. Fabulous sunrises or a misty morning make this landscape seem almost mystical. With its rich fauna and flora, it is a paradise for every nature lover.
There are meadows full of life to observe. The clattering of storks or the call of sheep, goats and cows are a special experience during an excursion. Encounters with foxes, hares, deer, beavers and raccoons are not uncommon. Ornithologists will be amazed by the many rare bird species.
Hikers, skaters and cyclists of all ages will find the Ziltendorfer Niederung to be the ideal area for barrier-free exercise.
The train stations in Brieskow-Finkenheerd, Wiesenau and Ziltendorf make the journey easier.

At the southern end of the Ziltendorfer lowlands is the village of Vogelsang. Here you will find a Soviet cemetery of honor, which bears witness to the fighting in early 1945. The remains of a makeshift dyke from the Oder floods from 1997 can also be visited. Very close to the village are the ruins of a power station that never went into operation, which was completed shortly before the end of the war in 1945 and is now home to many animal species.
