Host of the Year 2023 honored

As part of the "Night of Brandenburg Hospitality", the "Hosts of the Year 2023" were honored in Potsdam on Monday. The restaurant "Alter Weinberg" in Storkow (Mark) was chosen by the Brandenburg Hotel and Restaurant Association as the overall winner of the Oder-Spree Lake District. The family business under the management of Andreas Neidhardt can now adorn itself with the black and gold plaque. The basis for this decision was not only a mystery check, in which trained test persons check the offer, service and quality of the company according to previously defined criteria, but also the digital reputation and the online presence of the house. In the presence of the Minister of Economic Affairs Jörg Steinbach, the blue and white plaques of "Brandenburg Hospitality" were also awarded to 12 hosts in the Lake District. They all stand for Brandenburg hospitality in a special way. In addition to the "Alter Weinberg" in Storkow, the restaurants of the Artprojekt group "Freilich am See", "amiceria" and "Le gateau rose" in Bad Saarow, "die Köllnitzer Fischerstuben" in Groß Schauen and the "amiceria" in Strausberg are delighted with the award. The Altstadt-Café Domichowski in Storkow also successfully underwent the DEHOGA inspection. In Woltersdorf, the restaurant "Schönblick" can now once again adorn itself with the special plaque. As can the Seaside restaurant in the "Victoria Suites" hotel in the Bad Saarow spa gardens, the Hotel Schloß Reichenow on the edge of Märkische Schweiz, the Restaurant Royal in "The Lakeside Burghotel" in Strausberg and the "Restaurant Stadtmitte" on Königsstraße in Bad Freienwalde. "I am delighted about the numerous companies in the Lake District that took part in the quality initiative and I would like to congratulate all of the award-winning hosts. In these difficult times, the work and service-oriented commitment of the restaurateurs and hoteliers needs special recognition," says Ellen Rußig, Managing Director of the Seenland Oder-Spree Tourism Association. The "Brandenburg Hospitality" seal of quality, which is awarded every two years by the Brandenburg Hotel and Restaurant Association, is intended to continuously improve the quality of gastronomy and to raise awareness.
