Arrival: Historic Bad Saarow Train Station
If you are arriving by car, we recommend using the free Park & Ride car park behind the train station. Alternatively, you can also travel by train.
From the barrier-free station you can get your first glimpse of some Wilhelminian-era villas.

The highlight is the panoramic view of the Scharmützelsee from the Kurfürstensteg. This is located behind the Park Café in the direction of the harbor and can be reached via the Ludwig-Lesser-Promenade or via the barrier-free access from Seestrasse / corner of Kirchstrasse.

In the SaarowTherme The entire building with thermal bath and its extensive sauna area as well as the wellness, beauty and health treatments is completely barrier-free.
A covered "parking space" for rollators is located opposite the entrance. On request, a walking aid with a non-slip rubber foot can also be borrowed for a visit to the thermal baths. A special wheelchair is available for loan in the thermal baths and in the treatment area.

A round trip on the Scharmützelsee is a tempting option. Along the Ludwig-Lesser-Promenade, which is at ground level and directly on the lake, you reach the pier in the harbor in just a few minutes. On one of the air-conditioned excursion steamers, you can discover the "Märkisches Meer" from the water in a completely relaxed manner while enjoying coffee and cake.
If you feel like it, you can plan a short shore excursion and take the next ship for the onward journey. There are various disembarkation options with ground-level and easy walking options to choose from:
Access to the deck is only possible via a narrow, steep staircase. The toilets on board are small and not wheelchair accessible. However, one is available at the port.

Or how about exploring the lake on a houseboat on an individual trip in the afternoon, hopefully with the sun shining?
The license-free boat “Sindbad” from the rental company “Ab auf den See” can be rented by the hour, is easily accessible and offers plenty of space to move around on board.
There are no accessible toilets on board. These are available to guests at the port.

If you prefer to be more active, you can rent an e-bike from Ernest Scheffler bicycle rental "home of bikes" and explore Bad Saarow and its dream houses on the history tour. Sophisticated, magnificent houses, which are lined up like a string of pearls on the banks of the Scharmützelsee, bring back the atmosphere of the 20s and 30s, when well-off citizens strolled along the lake promenade and enjoyed the ambience by the lake.
