Start your hiking adventure now!

My favorite tip for adventurers

You can perfectly explore Brandenburg's water kingdom along the 66-lake hiking trail and train your fitness at the same time.

My favorite stage runs along the Gamengrund. Here you hike through the fragrant, mystical forest, which constantly changes its character, and pass 8 lakes with idyllic natural bathing spots. Some elevation gain and lost places also make this stage so special.

... and don't forget the hammock!

This purple natural spectacle is unique!

My favorite place: The Henzendorfer Heide

A few years ago I moved from Berlin to the Oder-Spree Lake District, where I was fascinated by the beauty of Brandenburg's nature. I have become particularly fond of the pristine nature in the Schlaubetal Nature Park.

Here I can relax from morning to night and discover new, exciting places every day.

My special tip: A hike through the blooming Henzendorfer Heide.

Here you can hear the silence!

My favorite place: The Oderbruch

Since I got to know and love the Oderbruch a few years ago, I have always been drawn there and now I have stayed. Here I can let the wind blow around my nose while cycling and enjoy the vastness.

My special tip: dangle your legs on the huge swings at the loading tower in Groß Neuendorf.

Live where others like to vacation.

My favorite route: The Märkische Schlössertour

Living where others like to go on holiday. I am grateful for this opportunity every day. And now I can also show guests and interested press representatives the beautiful sides of the Oder-Spree Lake District. Beautiful forest and meadow landscapes that can be explored on foot or by bike alternate with countless lakes on whose shores you can recharge your batteries or even soak up the sun.

The Lake District not only has nature to offer, but also a lot of interesting sights. Frankfurt (Oder), Neuzelle and Altlandsberg are just a few of the many "cultural beacons" in our region. And the numerous, still well-preserved castles, manor houses and estates with their impressive parks are a real special feature of our region.

That’s why I recommend the “Märkische Schlössertour”, where you can also choose small day-long bike tours.

Here I am human, here I am allowed to be human. I am clearly talking about my hometown: Beeskow.

My absolute favorite place in the Oder-Spree Lake District is the Spree Island of Beeskow.

The Spree flows through the picturesque small town idyll and lets the banks along the Spree promenade bloom in spring and summer. It is particularly beautiful on the Spree Island. This is located outside the old town and was created by the natural division of the Spree into two branches.

To the north is the historic castle, one of the three Strele castles in the region, and to the south is the historic Fischerkiez: narrow streets, old houses and a fantastic view of the Spree from every side. Especially on warm summer evenings, this is the perfect place to let your gaze wander over the water and simply relax.

Anyone who wants to get their own impression of this historic old town and its idyllic Spree island should definitely visit Discovery Tour "Visit to the Old Town on the Spree" issued.

In our so-called little idyllic Spree pearls, which can be found along the course of the Spree, you can discover the charm of Brandenburg!

My favorite tip: Märkische Umfahrt

I live in the Spree river landscape and for me it is the epitome of peace and serenity. Here you can forget everyday life, switch off and enjoy nature at its best. It is up to you whether you want to discover the region from the water on the Märkische Umfahrt or along the water on the Spree cycle path.

Not only are you close to the natural idyll with its flora and fauna, but you also have the opportunity to discover small, charming villages and towns on your tour through the Spree river landscape. In our so-called little Spree pearls, which can be found along the course of the Spree, you can experience Brandenburg charm in small, family-run bakeries, experience the historic old town and castle in Beeskow or visit the cathedral with brewery museum in Fürstenwalde.

As you can see, here you can be completely undisturbed in nature, but also stop at small places and experience a lot.
That's why I recommend the "Märkische Umfahrt" canoe tour - the experience from the water will be a unique experience for you! You can also choose smaller daily canoe trips.

Film set, nature experience and a comfortable tram ride – a tour that I recommend to everyone! Start your film adventure now

My tip: Cinematic tram tour in the eastern outskirts of Berlin

I feel most at home in the Berlin area. That's why I recommend a trip that offers the perfect mix of big city flair and rural charm.

The starting point is the Rüdersdorf Marktplatz tram stop. From there, tram line 88 takes you through the Berliner Forst – possibly even in an authentic Finnish train from Helsinki!

The hike leads along the picturesque Kalksee, which not only impresses with its natural beauty, but has also often served as a film set. Enjoy the view of the lake and discover hidden bathing spots.

In Woltersdorf you can experience the Love Spring, climb the Kranichsberg for a fantastic view of the Berlin TV Tower and immerse yourself in the film history of "Märkisches Hollywood" in the Tower Museum.

Finally, you can explore the culinary offerings and small shops around the Woltersdorf lock. The return journey is relaxing on the museum train through the city forest.

Film set, nature experience and a comfortable tram ride – a tour that I recommend to everyone!

My personal tip is a visit to the record store gimmick and then a drink in the Almchen next door.

Here, every season has its own magic, but I particularly love autumn with its play of colors.

My tip: The Schlaubetal hiking trail

The Schlaubetal is my home, I grew up here and have hiked from lake to lake countless times. And yet the nature in the most beautiful stream valley in eastern Brandenburg never ceases to fascinate me. Here, every season has its own magic, but I am particularly fond of autumn with its play of colors. The scenery changes every day and gives you the most beautiful photo opportunities. As a regional scout for the Schlaubetal, of course I recommend the Schlaube hiking trail. You can walk it in its entirety or in stages, stop off along the way or enjoy the fantastic scenery while having a picnic.

For me, a very magical place on the hiking trail is Klingemühle, one of the most beautiful places in the Schlaubetal for romantic sunsets. In absolute silence and with a little patience, you can watch sea eagles. The "Mit Dir" festival has been held here in summer since 2016, transforming the lakeshore, forest and meadow into a small Woodstock. For me, it's a highlight for the region.
