The landscape conservation area along the Spree shows its most beautiful side very early on. The unspoilt banks, lush meadows and dense reed belts with the animals living there start the day together with you. The longest two-day stage section with around 42 km is right at the beginning of the large Märkische Umfahrt and could bring with it a little headwind. The longest tour section of the Märkische Umfahrt also has the first adventures with two locks before reaching the destination in Briesen. You start at the boathouse in the Spreepark in Beeskow and follow the course of the Drahendorfer Spree into the Spree, where there is a former forester's house on the opposite bank. As an alternative, the tour section from Beeskow to Raßmannsdorf with 14 km is recommended (guest house in the village) or an overnight stay at one of the water hiking rest areas, for example in Neubrück (18 km).
