Stage 14 of the "66-Lakes Trail": Highlights and large stones - Fürstenwalde to Bad Saarow

This hiking trail offers a particularly natural experience. You begin by crossing the Spree over the old town bridge in Fürstenwalde, then continue through the Rauener Berge,where the highest vantage point is located. At 150 meters high, the Rauen Observation Tower offers a sweeping view over Lake Scharmützelsee. On a clear day, you can even see Tropical Islands or the Berlin TV Tower. Incidentally, the observation tower in the Rauen Mountains is not only the highest point on this tour, but also on the entire 66-Lakes Trail. Passing the idyllic Petersdorfer Lake, this hiking route ultimately leads to the historic Bad Saarow train station.

Departure: RB35 from Bad Saarow to Fürstenwalde/Spree, then continue with the RE1

• Mountains and sea: From a height of almost 200 meters, from the Rauen observation tower, enjoy the mountain panorama, look down on Lake Scharmützelsee and the Märkisches Meer and greet the Berlin TV tower. 
• Power place: Admire the largest boulders in Northern Germany at the Markgrafensteine
• Hidden: tracking down lost places in the forest
• Fürstenwalde: Heimattiergarten, St. Mary's Cathedral, Brewery Museum, City Museum, Culture Factory, Old Town Hall, City Wall Remains, Lighthouse
• Bad Saarow: historic train station building, Scharmützelsee
