5th stage of the "Oder-Neisse Cycle Route": Küstrin - Bad Freienwalde

The fifth stage of the Brandenburg section of the Oder-Neisse cycle path runs over 59 kilometers from Küstrin-Kietz to Bad Freienwalde. This section always runs along the Oder dyke in the direction of Bad Freienwalde. On the right are the wide Oder floodplains, which - especially in spring - provide a home for thousands of water birds. On the left are the wide lowlands of the Oderbruch.

At the intersection of Straße der Befreiung in Kienitz, follow the signposted diversion on the left until you reach the Deichweg on the right-hand side where you reach the actual Oder-Neiße cycle path.

Arrival: From Berlin Hauptbahnhof take the S7 (Ahrensfelde) to Berlin Lichtenberg. From here take the RB26 (Kostrzyn) to Küstrin-Kietz (approx. 2 hours).

Check out: From Bad Freienwalde take the RB60 to Eberswalde. From here take the RE3 (Lutherstadt Wittenberg) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (approx. 1 hour).
