5th stage of the "Oder-Neisse Cycle Route": Küstrin - Bad Freienwalde

The fifth stage of the Brandenburg section of the Oder-Neisse cycle path runs over 59 kilometers from Küstrin-Kietz to Bad Freienwalde. This section always runs along the Oder dyke in the direction of Bad Freienwalde. On the right are the wide Oder floodplains, which - especially in spring - provide a home for thousands of water birds. On the left are the wide lowlands of the Oderbruch.

Arrival: From Berlin Hauptbahnhof take the S7 (Ahrensfelde) to Berlin Lichtenberg. From here take the RB26 (Kostrzyn) to Küstrin-Kietz (approx. 2 hours).

Check out: From Bad Freienwalde take the RB60 to Eberswalde. From here take the RE3 (Lutherstadt Wittenberg) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (approx. 1 hour).
