6th stage of the "Oder-Neisse Cycle Route": Bad Freienwalde - Schwedt (Oder)

The sixth stage of the Brandenburg section of the Oder-Neisse cycle path runs for 43 kilometers from Bad Freienwalde to Schwedt (Oder). This section always runs along the Oder dyke in the direction of Schwedt (Oder). On the right hand side, the wide Oder floodplains open up, which - especially in spring - are home to thousands of water birds. Halfway along the route is the Stolper Tower, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Oder floodplains.

Goal: Schwedt

Arrival: From Berlin Hauptbahnhof take the RE3 (Schwedt) to Eberswalde. From here take the RB60 (Wrietzen) to Bad Freienwalde (approx. 1 hour).
