The tour starts on Bad Saarow train station and leads through a varied landscape along the Scharmützelsee to Wendisch Rietz. Numerous restaurants and snack bars along the route invite you to take a culinary break, especially with freshly caught zander, eel, pike or carp.
In Storkow (Mark) The historic old town awaits with its impressive castle, which houses a visitor center of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park and changing exhibitions. A walk to the lock or through the church square is also worthwhile. Nature lovers should definitely visit the nearby inland dune or visit the interactive park Irrlandia.
The path continues to Big Show, where the Köllnitz Nature Reserve is a special place for fish lovers. In addition to the fishing museum and regional fish cuisine, there are also observation towers for bird watching - with a bit of luck, you can watch ospreys hunting here.
