The S5 S-Bahn line takes you directly from the heart of Berlin to Strausberg in just 45 minutes. A quick alternative is the regional train line 26, which starts at the Ostbahnhof in Berlin. Once you arrive at Strausberg station, sports enthusiasts can strengthen their muscles and nerves by climbing high treetops. In the climbing forest and the CLIMB UP! adventure world, adventurers of all ages will find action and fun with guaranteed excitement on an area of 35.000 square meters. To "unwind", you should take a stroll through Strausberg's old town, including St. Mary's Church, the city wall with Wiekhaus, the "Landsberger Tor" and the old town hall, or visit the city museum, which, in addition to presenting the city's history, also houses a special rarity with its unique button museum. The Straussee, which stretches along the city, is idyllic. It attracts thousands of bathers every year. You should definitely use the ferry, which is unique in Europe, that connects the city side with the forest side of the lake. It is powered by electricity via an overhead line. From here you can start long hikes. Those who prefer to relax in the summer can relax on the numerous lawns and natural bathing areas or use the boat rental for a short water tour.
