Experience the Pliszka from the water

Different sections of the Pliszka can be navigated. Tours lasting several days are also possible. Water tourists can choose their starting and destination locations freely. However, it must be noted that access to the banks is not free in all conceivable places. It should also be noted that the Pliszka is located in a nature reserve and overnight stays are only possible in the designated locations. The total length of the route that is open to tourists is approximately 53 km.

Anyone who dares to go canoeing on the Pliszka will experience what is almost like a mountain river in the middle of a flat landscape. The speed of the flow depends heavily on the water level, but is basically determined by the difference in altitude between the source and the mouth of the river in the Oder. It is about 66 meters over a length of about 78 kilometers. But that does not mean that the river, which runs through the Rzepin Forest, is only suitable for experienced canoeists. The trip on the river can also be recommended for families with children or groups. They will all say afterwards: "It's so beautiful here! When are we coming back here?"

For leisurely water tourists who are looking for relaxation and peace in the middle of nature, we recommend the section between the village of Pliszka and the town of Gądków Wielki Drewniany Most. This is a stretch of the route where the vegetation along the river is at its most beautiful and leaves a special impression. If you stay calm, you can certainly observe several species of birds during the trip, such as the Pleiske, which gave the river its name.
