Starting at the Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, you first walk through the spa gardens to the Erpetal nature reserve. You can enjoy lush meadow landscapes along the Neuenhagener Mühlenfließ, which is home to endangered fish species. Always following the "blue line" marking, you will reach the famous racecourse in Hoppegarten, past magnificent villas. The path continues through Neuenhagen to the pretty town of Altlandsberg. With its historic old town, the castle estate and cozy restaurants, Altlandsberg is the perfect place to take a long rest. After a refreshing snack, you leave the city and walk cross-country to the northern tip of the Bötzsee. There are many natural bathing spots along the shore that invite you to refresh yourself in the cool water. The route leads to the Herrensee nature reserve and continues through shady mixed forest to Rehfelde and Garzau. On the last 10 kilometers or so, the Märkische Schweiz enchants the experienced hiker with all its charms. Through hill and valley, the route leads through the Rote Luch to the pearl of the Märkische Schweiz, Buckow, from where you can take the museum train home.
