From the cathedral city of Fürstenwalde into nature
Your late riser tour begins at Fürstenwalde train station and you follow the Spree cycle path, which leads to Berlin. If you like, you can take a detour to St. Mary's Cathedral. Then you head straight into nature and cycle easily and leisurely through lots of forest, along the water and in beautiful nature.

Hidden Spree Pearls
There are frequent short detours directly to the river along the route. There are also beautiful spots in Hangelsberg. Cool your feet, go for a swim, or marvel at all the beavers have nibbled away in the idyllic river meadow landscape.

A particularly nice place to take a break is the Mönchwinkel bivouac site right on the Spree, where you can even legally pitch your tent for a night. From the striking wooden bridge you can watch the aquatic plants move back and forth in the clear river water in the gentle current - that's real flow.

Holly's sheet cake is a hit
Your tour continues past meadows and forests. In Hartmannsdorf, Doris Hollnagel, who is particularly well-known among racing cyclists, invites you to a coffee break with cake. The owner of Holly's Galeriecafé welcomes locals and cyclists to feast and chat together. Her pieces of cake are the size of half a baking tray, are outrageously delicious and enjoy cult status. Although Doris hardly sees anything, she bakes a gigantic variety almost every day with a lot of love and dedication - you can even get a vegan and gluten-free cake variant here.

Sundowner at Dämeritzsee
Shortly before the end of your late riser tour, you will come across the beautiful Müggelspree again at the Jägerbude campsite and in the Erkner-Hohenbinde district. Finally, you will enter Erkner, where the tour ends at the train station and the train will take you back to the big city. And if you still have a lot of energy left, you can continue on the Spree cycle path to Berlin. Our recommendation, however, is to enjoy the sunset over the Dämeritzsee. You have earned the delicious sundowner in the Badebar Erkner!

Plan your late-riser bike tour along the Müggelspree now!
