The RE 1 takes you to the town, from where, after visiting the local history museum, you cross the A12 by bike in the direction of Kersdorfer Schleuse. There you will come across an impressive stag monument, also known as the "Monument of the Sixty-Six-Pointer". It was dedicated to the shooting of a large red stag by Frederick I. If you don't believe it: the original hangs in the Moritzburg hunting lodge. The journey continues through a beautiful forest via Biegen to Pillgram, a small village with vineyards for Brandenburg country wine on the Patke winery. Wine connoisseurs can try white and red wines as well as regional delicacies here. Traditional village culture can be experienced in the Vorlaubenhaus. It is a 300-year-old farmhouse of rural architecture. In its long history, it was a village pub, hostel, transformer station and stagecoach station, where conversations revolved around country life over a mug of beer or a pint. The route to Petersdorf leads past the “Erbkrug” inn in Jacobsdorf. Old craft techniques for historical building ceramics have been revived at the GOLEM Baukeramik company for around 30 years. They use fire to produce replicas of historical building ceramics for restoration. These include bricks, shaped stones, elaborate terracottas and colorful glazed facing bricks. The sales exhibition in Petersdorf makes builders' hearts beat faster.
At the manor house in Sieversdorf you cross the pilgrimage route. The Scheffler organ workshop is also located in the ensemble of the lovingly renovated manor house and the artisanal stable buildings. The workshop is a specialist in the restoration and reconstruction of the "Great German Romantic Organ" as built by well-known organ builders between 1850 and 1930. Groups of 5 or more can visit the workshop by prior arrangement. You can return to your destination in Briesen via Petersdorf after an exciting creative tour.
