Tip: Circular route Großer Werl, Saarow peninsula and back
You can start your SUP adventure from the beach. Once you are confident on the board, a small circular route is recommended. First, head over to the island of Großer Werl, about 500m to the southwest. Do you see the cormorants? They breed here, and especially on Kleiner Werl, a little further south, quite frequently. Fun fact: sea eagles also see cormorants as an addition to their diet! Then head north along the Alte Eichen peninsula, where you will see the former manor "Eibenhof" with its impressive manor house. Finally, head back towards Cecilienpark. Alternatively, you can paddle along the east bank. Take a look to the north: there you can see the Rauener Mountains, where you can see real cormorants for a change on your next visit. flights of fancy you can experience.
Sundowner at the Märkisches Meer
Whether you're exhausted or not, you can treat yourself to modern interpretations of Bavarian specialties at Freilich after the tour. Whether it's a beer garden classic or special creations that go far beyond pub standards, you'll enjoy it in the wonderful ambience.
If you still have time and feel like it, you can take a walk to the center of Bad Saarow. Historic villas line the lakeshore. Walk to the Ludwig-Lesser-Promenade, take a last look at the sea from the panoramic footbridge and then walk back through the spa gardens to Bad Saarow train station. Or you can chill out a bit at the beach bar in Freilich. After all, the last train to Berlin doesn't leave until 22.30:XNUMX p.m. ;)
