Canoeing on the Spree - Discovery Tour

The scenic Spree is best explored by canoe. This is a great way to combine nature experiences with active leisure fun.

You start your paddling tour at Albatros Outdoor in Beeskow, where you rent a canoe. Your Spree adventure towards the Leißnitz ferry can begin. A rustic river landscape with a diverse flora and fauna stretches out before you, which is the habitat of numerous animal species that can be observed undisturbed here. In Leißnitz you turn back. If you would like to take a break here, the Leißnitz ferry terminal, the only hand-operated ferry for miles around, is an ideal place to strengthen yourself and stretch your muscles.
Now you take the same route back towards Beeskow. As soon as you see the distinctive brick chimneys in front of you, the district town is within reach. The tour can also be extended to the "Boootshaus", where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Spree and also have plenty of refreshments and drinks. At the end of an active day on the water, you return the canoe to Albatros Outdoor.

You will return home with many impressive images and will remember the natural beauty of the Spree. The best way to do this is to end the exciting canoe trip in Spreepark Beeskow and cool off a little from the exertion at the bathing area.

Did you know?
Brandenburg's only hand-pulled cable ferry is located in Leißnitz. It was built in 1971 in the shipyard in Eisenhüttenstadt and traveled across the Oder-Spree Canal in Eisenhüttenstadt until 1996. Since 1999, the ferry has connected the two towns of Leißnitz and Ranzig, which are separated by the Spree.
