The unusual name of the town Müllrose should not be a cause for concern. This small, former farming town lies nestled between three lakes and is a very idyllic spot on the northern edge of the charming Schlaubetal valley.

After launching your canoe, you'll paddle a short 600-meter stretch on the Oder-Spree Canal before returning to the tranquil waters of the idyllic Katharinengraben, leading to Katharinensee (Lake Katharinen). On its shore, you can take a break at the Gasthaus am Katharinensee (Inn at Katharinensee) with its lovely outdoor terrace and enjoy a swim at the inn's private beach with a sunbathing lawn. Afterwards, a hike on the circular trail around Großer Müllroser See (Great Müllrose Lake) is highly recommended. Via Bahnhofstraße (Station Street) and Seeallee (Lake Avenue), you'll reach the outdoor swimming pool on the lake's eastern shore. From there, this charming hike leads to the market square, the Müllrose Mill, and the lakeside promenade, offering one last breathtaking view of the lake before bidding it farewell. The return journey takes you past the Kietz, with its Schlaubetal Information Center and Nature Park House, and across the small Schlaube Bridge to Kleiner Müllroser See (Little Müllrose Lake). In Schiffbauerstraße, the historic fire station from 1925 with its wooden hose tower and a small exhibition on the history of firefighting and shipbuilding in Müllrose is well worth seeing.
