This tour combines nature, history and relaxation into a varied walk through the state-recognized resort.
The starting point is the visitor center in the village center. From there, the path leads to the holiday park, which was once used as a youth recreation center and now offers a modern holiday atmosphere. Almost directly adjacent is the renowned SATAMA Sauna Resort & Spa with its spacious sauna area and wellness facilities.
The path continues along the beach road to the harbor bay and the reed house. A short walk along the beach and then through the holiday home complex leads to the Kneipp Park. Here, everything revolves around health and exercise.
Along the Schwarzhorner Weg trail, the remains of the former Schwarzhorn hunting lodge come into view in the forest. This mysterious "lost place" is a reminder of bygone times, but the site itself is not accessible.
The fishing tradition continues to this day in the Scharmützelsee region of Fischland. Fresh fish and regional smoking traditions have characterized this part of town for many years. Back in the town center, the route leads across the sheep bridge along the Wendisch Rietzer Fließ stream to the idyllic carp pond.
The path then continues for about 1,5 kilometers through the forest and along the railway tracks to Wendisch Rietz station.
Passing the fire station and the Atelier Café, the former Old School, the spacious festival meadow opens up with a wide view over the Scharmützelsee lake.
A technical highlight of the tour is the Wendisch Rietz lock, which connects to the waterways of Berlin. Right next to it are the historic fieldstone house and the former Adler manor house, now privately owned. The tour concludes at Eddy's on the canal, right on the water.
