A walk on the Kleist route through the twin cities of Frankfurt (Oder)/Słubice is an exciting search for traces and leads to places that are still central to the cultural life of the two cities on the Oder.
The tour is also available via app for ages up to 14 and over 15 and can be completed in different sections, each lasting one hour. The app takes you to different stations in the life and work of the von Kleist family. Using quiz questions, visitors can explore topics such as language design, the search for happiness in life and the history of the twin cities in a playful way. One tour variant is specially designed for cyclists and leads to Kunersdorf (Kunowice) on the Polish side (duration approx. 4 hours). The tour via app works on your own smartphone. Tablets can be borrowed from the German-Polish Tourist Information in the Bolfrashaus.

Arrival: From Berlin Hbf. RE1 to Frankfurt (Oder) station, change to tram 2 or 4 to Kleist-Museum

Directions: City walk along the places of remembrance of Heinrich von Kleist and the von Kleist family. Information boards provide information at the respective locations. It goes through the city center of Frankfurt (Oder) to the banks of the Oder with the option of continuing the tour in Słubice after crossing the city bridge. You can eat very well in the Restaurant & Café at Kleistpark.
