Strausberg - Erkner: 3rd stage around Berlin

Naturally maintained forests and meadows, as well as the Lange Dammwiesen and Unteres Annatal nature reserves, offer truly unique experiences on a tour through the East Brandenburg Plateau. This protected area covers over 235 hectares and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The rampart-like, often curved elevations of sand and gravel are a geological feature of the region. Evidence of limestone mining, the smallest municipality with a tram service, and the abundance of lakes provide variety along the route.

Public transport: From Berlin Ostkreuz with S5 to Strausberg (approx. 45 minutes)
Public transport: From Erkner RE1 (Magdeburg) to Berlin Hbf. (approx. 31 minutes) or with S3 (Spandau) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (approx. 45 min)

Possible combinations: If you want to start your cycle tour directly in Berlin and then turn onto the "Cycle Path Around Berlin" in Erkner, the European Cycle Route R1 and the Spree Cycle Route are suitable options.
