Tour description
The starting point is the Schlaubetal Marina, just a few minutes from the market square. The tour first leads across the Kleiner Müllroser See (Little Müllroser Lake), then continues along the Oder-Spree Canal. After about 600 meters, you reach the Katharinengraben, a quiet waterway dating back to the 18th century that now provides a habitat for many animals.
After passing under Bahnhofstrasse, the view opens up to Lake Katharinensee – a small, legendary lake with a tranquil atmosphere. A rest on the terrace of the Haus Katharinensee hotel and a swim on the hotel's private beach round off the excursion. The return journey follows the same route.
Worth seeing:
- Baroque town church
- Nature Park House
- House of the guest
- Historic fire station (1925) with exhibition (Schiffbauerstraße)
- Nature trail along the marina
Refreshment options:
- Restaurant in the hotel “Haus Katharinensee”
- Market Restaurant Müllrose
Tip for hikers:
The 25-km Schlaubetal hiking trail (awarded by the German Hiking Association) runs from Müllrose to the Schlaubemühle mill near Lake Wirchensee. Untouched forests, historic mills, and tranquil lakes make it one of Brandenburg's most charming hiking trails.
