Ranziger See is located directly at the village of the same name in the Brandenburg municipality of Tauche. Surrounded by pine trees, the 32-hectare lake with its near-natural shore areas is located in the direct vicinity of Lake Leißnitz and the Spree River, which flows northward from there. The Ranziger See is up to 18 meters deep and has an excellent water quality. The visibility depth is up to two meters. The clear water attracts swimmers to the lake in summer, who use the free shore areas at the water's edge.
