Burg Storkow

In the heart of the city, the completely reconstructed Storkow Castle shines in new splendor. 800 years after the first mention in 1209, it could be handed over to the citizens and guests and is developing into a tourist and cultural focal point. Here you will find the exhibition "Man and Nature - a journey through time", the tourist information, the town library, the Burgstübchen, the event hall in the Palas and an open-air stage. With the permanent and special exhibitions, the diverse offers such as concerts, readings and theater, a varied stay in Storkow and the surrounding area is guaranteed.

In Storkow Castle, the varied natural and cultural history of the region between the Oder, Dahme and Spree rivers is presented in an exciting and stimulating way. The Natureum houses an exhibition on three levels in which visitors experience an individual (learning) experience through the use of multimedia and multifunctional exhibition concepts. The exhibition starts with the Ice Age and leads on three levels to the present. In the attic, among other things, the few existing historical illustrations and maps can be seen, where the centuries-old history of the castle's development is documented.
